Dear Savvy Families,

Our world has rapidly been turned upside-down, and like you, we are adapting in new ways, to our new realities, each and every day.

In our own efforts to “flatten the curve” of the spread of the Covid-19 virus, to protect the health of our students and teachers, and to support our local, regional and national medical care workers, we are now conducting all consultations, tutoring sessions, and practice tests online until further notice.

Please know that working online is not new for Savvy Strategies. In truth, many of our savvy students are located across the country: from California to Florida and from Washington to New York. We have been using Zoom for years, long before it became a household word! Know, too, that our online students have seen score increases and academic success just as much as our in-person students!

In Zoom, we talk back and forth, just as if we are sitting across the table from one another. Truly, we still are! Technology allows us to close the gap between us (while maintaining appropriate physical distance!) whether that be one mile or five hundred miles. We can see and hear each other in real time. We are working, as well, to develop our coursework into a digital format so that all of our students can work through the Savvy curriculum from the safety and comfort of home.

Even if your SAT/ACT has been cancelled, you can be prepared for the next test date (whenever it may be). Our emails, social media posts, Facebook Live events, and blog can keep you informed about the most recent information regarding these exams and other important college admissions related information.

TOEFL tutoring remains available, and we are adding AP-specific tutoring to help students prepare for the new format and adjusted content of this year’s exams. Stay tuned for information in the coming days and weeks!

Thank you, as always, for trusting Savvy Strategies with your amazing students. We miss seeing them in person! Their vitality and enthusiasm are the keys to re-building our institutions for the future, better able to respond to and navigate the challenges of our modern world. We look forward to seeing many of them in person again when it’s safe to do so.
